Multi Integrated Support /MIS/ held Evidence based dialogues meeting Assosa city on March,2021 at Bens Icon Hotel.
As part of the project, organizing continues evidence-based dialogs between stakeholders was conducted/held at Assosa city at Bens Icon Hotel.
During the meeting session, a total of 29 participants were attended, of whom,6 was female. The combination of partakers was; 12 Monitoring Committee members from Mao Komo, Mao Komo special woreda Administration head, 1 from Health Bureau,1 from Education Bureau, 2 from Labor and Social Affairs Bureau, 2 from Finance and Economy Bureau. 1 from Women’s and Children’s Affairs Bureau, 3 from Women’s Associations/Federation, 1 from Assosa University, 1 from CSO’s Network, 1 from CSSP2 west hub office representative, 2 from BGRS TV, 1 from BGRS Assosa FM.
Objectives of the Meeting: To see the progress, opportunity and Challenges of the Monitoring Committee interventions
- To discuss about media engagement
- To discuss about the Sustainability of the project
As per the agenda, first Ato Solomon invites Ato Yasin, the Mao Komo Special woreda Administration head to open the meeting, then after the committee chair person presents the monitoring committee progress report. As per the report, in the education (Abeharon primary school constructed seven class rooms, additional dusks and additional toilet for girls for the needy students to bring the class student ratio up to the standard. In the health area, facilitate the walk way of pregnant women to delivery room, arranging maternity waiting room and arranging generator for power supply.
In relation to Media engagement, the meeting suggested that for the future local radio should serve freely, but for the time being the organization better use your budget. In accordance the meeting put a committee to follow the execution of media engagement. The committee have three members.
Finally, the sustainability issue, the meeting gave the direction to the organization to prepare the name of the Monitoring Committee and the result that done with this short period of time to the “woreda miker bet “and then the woreda will facilitate and allocate budget to continue the social change.
To conclude, Ato Bezabih, from CSSP2, gave direction to the participants and his thanks also. In the end, Ato Dagim BGRS finance and Economy representative puts a closing remark.
